I’m Aelita – 39, Lithuanian, writing a van life blog from the road across Europe with my husband Tomas and our two dogs Summer and Shadow. I’m not an influencer or a guide. I started blogging in my late thirties because I was tired of outdoor and van life content made by people doing it for the trend. If you are too, you’re in the right place.
I haven’t written in over two years. A lot happened. We had a brown bear encounter in Croatia. We tried white water kayaking for the first time. We rescued a tiny puppy in the Romanian mountains and spent weeks finding her a home. We drove roads that aren’t on most maps and parked in places I still can’t believe were free.
The van has changed too. We switched to lithium batteries, got Starlink, and after four years, it finally feels less like a vehicle we sleep in and more like somewhere we live. Small things make a big difference when you’re in such a tiny space.
